After breakfast, enjoy your morning at leisure. In the early afternoon, depart from your hotel for your shared small group tour to discover Paris. Drive through Concorde Square, past the Louvre Museum, see the Seine River and its bridges, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the famous Champs- Elysées Avenue, the Eiffel Tower and stop for free time in Montmartre near Sacré-Coeur Basilica. We recommend an optional tour at O-Château Wine Bar near the Louvre for a tasting of six wines from six different regions in France with a very knowledgeable sommelier – fantastic for beginners or wine connoisseurs alike (not included). Enjoy the city at night at your leisure.
After breakfast, enjoy your day at leisure to explore the city’s world-famous museums or pick up some delicious macaron and souvenirs in a Parisian shop. For the gourmand, optional cooking classes with French Market visits, or tasting of delectable chocolate at four chocolate shops are available (not included).
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to the train station to board your high-speed train to Avignon, best known for its fabled bridge and a treasury of magnificent art and medieval architecture. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.
After breakfast, begin your full-day small group tour of Provence. Enjoy sightseeing in the vineyards around Châteauneuf du Pape with explanations of terroir, grape varieties, vinification, aging cellars and indulge in wine tastings at two wineries. In the afternoon, visit Pont du Gard, the best preserved Roman aqueduct and Les Baux de Provence, a picturesque medieval village in the Alpilles mountain range. Visit Gordes which ranks among the most beautiful villages in France. Return to your hotel.
After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the train station to board your train to Nice, the cosmopolitan capital of the Côte-d’Azur. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.
After breakfast, begin your half-day small group tour of historic Nice, including Castel Park, a drive along the port, Place Garibaldi, and Promenade des Arts. Visit Cimiez, the winter home of Queen Victoria and stop at the Roman arenas of Cemenelum to walk along the magnificent olive tree gardens. En route back to your hotel, pass Promenade des Anglais and its famous landmarks and end your journey with a visit to the market in the Old Town. Enjoy the rest of your afternoon at leisure.
Enjoy your day at leisure, perhaps sunbathing on the beach or trying some delicious socca, while admiring the beauty of your surroundings. In the evening, begin your small group tour including a drive along the seacoast road with its marinas and panoramic viewpoints. Pass by the charming medieval village of Eze with its amazing views. Travel by the famous Corniche Road leading to Monaco, then tour the Grand Prix circuit. Stop in Monte-Carlo, with free time for dinner and enjoy the chic atmosphere of Casino Square and maybe try your luck at the tables or at slot machines.
